Help Shine a Light on Child Abuse
Fundraising Event to Promote Awareness
To commemorate Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hampshire County and Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan invite you to participate in “This Little Light of Mine” a luminaria display at Childs Park in Northampton, and throughout our community.
On April 1, 2021, 2,000 luminarias will be lit to represent the number of child abuse survivors the Children’s Advocacy Center has served since opening its doors in 2006.
The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hampshire County has seen a marked decrease in reports of child abuse since the pandemic began. And unfortunately, we know many children are not safe at home and have no one to tell. Help us shine a light on child abuse in our community.
The funds we raise will go towards our longtime goal of purchasing the Children’s Advocacy Center house in Northampton. The CAC house is central to our mission of preventing and ending child abuse in Hampshire County. Purchasing the house will ensure a permanent home for the CAC and continued services for children in need.
