CAC Plans 2nd Annual Event

On April 8, 2022, to commemorate Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hampshire County and Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan invite you to participate in “This Little Light of Mine” a luminaria display at Childs Park in Northampton and throughout our community. 2200 luminarias will be lit to represent the number of child abuse survivors the Children’s Advocacy Center has served in Hampshire County.

The pandemic has been particularly difficult for children, especially those who are not safe at home. In 2021, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hampshire County experienced a 40% increase in the number of children needing our services.

Join us in shining a light on the issue of child abuse—because all children deserve safety, healing, and justice. The funds we raise will help to ensure child survivors in our community receive a coordinated, culturally competent, multidisciplinary team response to allegations of child abuse in our dedicated, child-friendly house.
